    @LiquidSnakeSSJ49 months ago accidentally spilt tea on my pc (3090) a few months ago and to my surprise after opening it up & drying it in IPA, replacing thermal pads ect it still works. while cleaning the pcb, i accidentally knocked off a filter cap and at first was freaking out about being able to solder it back on, but it works fine without it. really puts into perspective how skilled repair technicians are at dealing with things like this . crazy how anyone can achieve running a trace on such tiny pads .. ...Expand 42

    @cldpt9 months ago I cannot recommend enough kriticalpads for evga cards, probably also great on other cards. I got some shipped frim us to europe because they were, at the note though one of the inductor sides (closest to the pcie metal bracket) does not make perfect connection with the heatsink on the top of its row, but i' ve monitored temps there with an ir thermometer and it' s fine. ...Expand 2

    what' s the most basic tools we would need to have to start repairing like you did? Same goes for software.

Usually you can undervolt a little without losing any performance as the stock chances are the silicon in this card is at least a little better than the absolute worst. So it shouldn' t need all the volts to be stable. ...Expand
