@kayleyakakaylchips80096 years ago This goes along with the over releasing but I’m OVER the consumerism mentality of the beauty community!! So many youtubers do weekly/monthly first impressions but what products do you actually use more than once? Youtubers are always buying new stuff but it takes like 3 years to use up one bronzer. I wanna see more Project Pans and youtubers actually thoroughly testing less products. The consumerism mentality that we need every new release sends a bad message to younger people, especially ones using their daddy’s money. I love Kelly because she makes a big deal about buying new makeup and actually knows all the makeup she has. ... 54

@laykinposey25446 years ago I'm tired of everything being in palette form. Like highlighter palette, blush palette, contour palette. Most of the time there are shades that you can't even use! It's just too much. Give me a single that I know fits my skin tone so that I can use it up ... 111

@fairytalec60996 years ago Im sick of the ”its not a full look if you dont have false lashes” and full coverage foundation.
Also so sick of cut creases.
so sick of releasing makeup in USA and then like 6 months later in europe.
And yes brown palettes with a pop of blue. Or just one pop of colour.
I want more stuff like Huda beauty obsession, like the ruby, emerald and that. Just a small palette with one colour in difrent shades.

@naomilasby77446 years ago The neutral palettes with a pop of blue have to die. 142
  • @
@IisaStevens6 years ago I agree on the over releases. I feel like every brand is doing it. I can’t even keep up with all the newness! 140
  • @
@Janelleybean236 years ago I’m over seeing excessive PR packaging. It’s so wasteful and unnecessary 126
  • @
@CoolestDiadore6 years ago I agree with your whole list. Im also sick of
    1) ultra matte liquid lipsticks
    2) IG eyebrows
    3) super thick foundation application
    4) super huge dramatic lashes paired with thick winged liner
    5) ultra warm eyeshadow looks
    6) Influencer collabs
    7) the stupid tiny sunglasses!
    ...

  • @
@redheadgrl31YEA6 years ago I am probably totally alone on this but I'm not interested in influencer collabs anymore. I feel like none of them have caught my eye or really got me excited since the original Jaclyn Hill palette. 122
  • @
@Katiewadsworth6 years ago I don’t know about you, but I am over subscription boxes 85
  • @
@scentmode82986 years ago I guess I’m the only person that wants brands to release stuff only twice a year - spring/summer and the holidays. It’s like you lose track of when you’re struggling to use up your one terra-cotta nude lipstick and then BAM there are 4726352 others that you want. ... 54
  • @
@irisk9346 years ago I have to list Colour pop as the worst offender of brands who did too many releases. I used to love the brand but now I'm over them because it's too much 123
  • @
@mommajay9116 years ago What am I over?
    1. Too many releases
    2. Mermaids, Unicorns, My Little Pony etc.
    3. Glitter in everything. I am don't hate glitter. But like you said it is in every lip product. When there is a face palette (bronzer, blush, highlighter) at least half if not more will be glittery. One thing I do hate is how glitter falls in my eyes. I can use the best glitter glue on the planet but after a while some particles come free and it really hurts.
    4. Warm toned neutral palettes with a pop of blue.
    5. Exact dupes of another brand's palettes (Shop Hush/Bad Habit)

@sydneyekeroth87376 years ago Everyone needs to take a break from pink and berry palettes. Too many and they all look the same. 57
  • @
@nicolebamonte29226 years ago Kelly you would be a great asset to the creative department of a beauty brand ! 19
  • @
@mommajay9116 years ago I love that you are back uploading regularly again. I missed you while you were travelling. 40
  • @
@nicolevigo53496 years ago Colourpop! Definitely too many releases! I love neutral palettes with a pop, but no more blue! Pop of green would be great! 34
  • @
@frickencarrie6 years ago Love this! I'm done with the over-consumption. I get having a lot of makeup, but I've seen people on YouTube who could fill a store with their collection.
By the way, your skin looks flawless!
    41
  • @
@kelliep.85146 years ago I agree with everything you said. I DO NOT get the hype with the James Charles morphe palette! I get that he's super popular but I've seen that rainbow palette done a million times before. Don't we all own at least one by now?!?! But at least JC is laughing all the way to the bank :) ... 24
  • @
@emmkej90966 years ago I actually agree with everything you mentioned, especially about palettes with a pop of blue and weirdly shaped brushes. I would add huge palettes, those Morphe type with 40 shades and those palettes that have both face, lips and eyes stuff, no body uses those. ... 12
  • @
@LBDBeauty6 years ago Liquid lipsticks, brands with terrible shade ranges, increasing drugstore makeup prices (expensive makeup in general), highlighters (singles & palettes), collabs, neutral eyeshadow palettes and "nude" lipsticks. ... 9
  • @
@aaanna006 years ago I would love to see trends you would like to see in 2019! For me that would be, unusual lipcolors becoming more socially acceptable🙏, and people rocking their natural brows. Also latin make up names would be really cool⚡ ( sorry for my english, not my first language) ... 16
  • @
@marygracefelton6 years ago I’m sick of zodiac collections! And mermaid and unicorn! And of course over releasing! Just let me enjoy all the makeup I already have! 12
  • @
@megdvs216 years ago Yes I’d love to see a “ trends I want to see via 2019 “ video also Cas is precious 😍🐶😘🐶 10
  • @
@kimmorris3216 years ago never once purchased a glittery lipstick, topper. Especially hate the metallic trend. I dont mind lipglosses with some glitter, but prefer my mattes! 13
  • @
@valeriesjourney176 years ago I agree with the over releases, rainbow palette and the neutral with a pop of blue. I'm also over palettes that we were encouraged to get being forgotten about. 5
  • @
@meghannbw6 years ago I love this video idea!
What I would like to see is less neutral and rainbow palettes, but rather some more monochrome palettes.... I don’t think they would need to be large palettes (like Morphe or Profusion), but I’m also not thinking little quads like Almay did (one color in four finishes). I’m thinking along the lines of maybe 6 to 8 pans of different shades of greens or different shades of purple.... something that isn’t pink or red. I think that could be so cool to be able to create a completely monochromatic look with tons of depth and have it all in one smaller palette. ...

@amandakesterson2246 years ago Personally I love the “childish” aspect of makeup. Makeup doesn’t need to be sophisticated. My Too Faced Clover Palette makes me smile every morning as I use it and my mermaid brushes make me start singing Little Mermaid songs. It puts me in a better mood.
Now what I would like to see die (and not talking about you, completely understand this video is light hearted) is people expecting every product to either be what they want or they completely tear both the product and people that like it down. For example, the Too Faces Clover palette. I get not everyone will like the cutesy packaging, but there are plenty of other more grown up palettes out there, including from Too Faced. So why do people feel the need to make comments such as “what kind of overgrown human wants to play with kids makeup? Thats stupid!” (Which I saw numerous people say in multiple forms). Okay, THEY don’t want a palette like that, but whats so hard about understanding the palette doesn’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea?
    Rant over. Love you Kelly!

@austenpoet6 years ago I’m over the drama of 2018, you tubers making videos about their anxiety and depression (sorry my feed is full of this!), any palette with BLUE in it, and long lasting lipstick that claims to last 12 hours, but cracks and flakes in 2!!! ... 31

@jackieangel6896 years ago Hey Kelly I never told you that I love your background and new higher quality videos. I always love your videos and just wanted you to know that your effort is appreciated! Hope your having a great holiday season! 3

@treenbaileyr6 years ago I like how Jeffree Star does his makeup releases. Color story and on point! 3
  • @
@mishmash39686 years ago Please keep these coming.😂 I want to see the childrens play make up packaging die. I don’t get it, like the play school brushes they keep coming out with. 23
  • @
@krueltyfreekelly6 years ago I totally agree with you on these! especially the over releases. Honestly I got excited when you said you did a look with modern renaissance because I'm still using that everyday, since I can't afford/wouldn't want to keep buying new things all the time. but then most people are still focused on new releases so I don't get to enjoy my palette as much/see it used by others much anymore. I know green eyeshadows are trying more popular but I'm hoping that trend continues in 2019. I'm living for green shadows lately! ... 2
  • @
@jennawar136 years ago Yes do what trends you want to see! I for one want to see more monochromatic color palettes. Like CP oh la la, but with purple and green. A yellow Dose 5 pan. More persona color theory palettes etc.
I am so over warm neutrals with a pop of blue. I don't even wear blue shadow that much!
    ...

@Nadja_nx6 years ago I totally agree with you, especially on the over releasing! 3
  • @
@ShoSensei6 years ago Pretty sure I will get some flack for all this, and thats cool, we all have our own opinions and preferences. ( no name calling please ) I LOVE all the cutesy packaging and brushes! I love unicorns, fairies, mermaids and butterflies and rainbows. Yes, I'm an old fart kid at heart! Just had to throw that in there! 😆😆 That being said, I'm SOOOOOOOO over all the yellow, red, orange, rust, bronze and berry hued shadows. That accounts for my not buying a single palette this year!! Lipstick palettes ( does anyone even use them? ) liquid matte lipsticks that literally suck every drop of moisture from the lips, yet still manages to bleed into lines around the mouth. Super gloopy, sticky lipglosses. Chunky glitter. Palettes with 100 colors. Huge, thick caterpillar brows. Tons of undereye concealer. Black, green, blue and gray lipstick! ( Sorry to all the younger ladies out there that like them. ) You tubers that think a foul mouth is trendy and cool. People in the comments telling others to "get cancer and die." That is straight up horrendous and uncalled for! Finally, on a lighter note, please.......can we get rid of wrinkles?? 😂😂😂 Let's give a rowdy shout out to Cover Girl for going CRUELTY FREE!! Thanks for the chance to vent Kelly! ... 4
  • @
@PujaWahi6 years ago Not trying to be mean, but I want pink eye shadow to go away. God knows I own enough pink eye shadow myself and wear it often, but I do think it makes us look ill. Also, I think we'll look back at it like the blue eyeshadow from the 80s. ... 19

@kimhutchens386 years ago I love sassy Kelly. You were spot on with all of these trends that need to go. I have never understood the brushes. Like how do you store them??? 2
  • @
@funkee96 years ago Agree! So over the trends you mentioned. Glad you made this fun video Xoxo 1
  • @
@MariaJLara6 years ago omg you are right, i REALLY need to move over from those brushes! very cute but most of the times very not functional

@arym28636 years ago Yasss love sassy Kelly! I’m so with you on these. The metallic lips especially like two years ago I was so over it but it’s just sooo overdone.
  • @
@tanj20006 years ago Well said. I wholeheartedly agree with you on all of these, especially about over releases. It saps the joy out of a new release that we once used to get. I miss having the anticipation and excitement over something a long time in the making which has more thought behind it. We've seen a lot of same-ish palettes with recycled color stories (ahem Colourpop). Totally over it! xo ... 3
  • @
@demeterdelon2496 years ago I am loving the glitter lipglosses😆 This video shows how everyones preference is super different😋 My favorite is definitely the Fenty Gloss Bomb and im waiting for the hank and henry glosses in the mail 🤩 1
  • @
@hananhafez19106 years ago Omg no too faced and tarte were so bad this year with over producing im so over these brands and over producing in general 6
  • @
@SwimCoachk076 years ago I’m over pallet collaborations...they all look the same. Excessive releases of the same thing, warm tones, pallets in general and just the over saturated beauty landscape. I like unique singles and curated stories in bundles. Honestly it’s just a lot. ... 5
  • @
@HarryThomasPictures6 years ago Your a expert judge of beauty Kelly❤️❤️❤️!
  • @
@kokityy1016 years ago Kelly, I love your brows in this video. A totally agree with you on most of the things, except the rainbow palettes. If they are good quality there's nothing wrong with it. 1
  • @
@rachelchristine19156 years ago Leave in 2018...
    1. Plastic surgery under eye concealer
    2. Liquid highlighter all over the face before foundation
    3. Morphe sponsorships
    4. False lashes paired with EVERY LOOK
    5. Expensive-ass eyeshadow palettes cough Natasha Denona cough
    6. Drama in the beauty community (it’s just makeup it’s not that deep)
    ...

  • @
@celiatambor72056 years ago I agree on every single one of these. I’d add pink toned eyeshadows to that. They can be pretty - I love your look today - but that proves my point: we have this already! Modern renaissance all over again. I’m just sick of that trend being all we see in shadows these days. This is not the only way to do cool tones (read: not orange, cause I don’t think even the pink are truly cool as many are being marketed) ... 4
  • @
@caitlinquedevez35715 years ago If the brush is good, I love when its extra cute looking. Makes me feel extra fun when putting on my make up
  • @
@denisef32286 years ago I could not agree more about brushes in the shape of weird or cutesy things. 1

@rueroxanne9726 years ago Sassy Kelly! One of my favourites! Hi Cass!
  • @
@redjarl6 years ago Agree with everything except the last.
It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on future trends and make up obsessions👍
  • @
@camzhao6 years ago I’m over face palettes that only come in 1 shade. A light bronzer, glittery light pink blush and frosty highlighter is not gonna work for me or anyone darker than me! 4
  • @
@MoonlitSunflower6 years ago I agree with you on this. I'm also over the red berry palettes or overly warm palettes.
  • @
@lindseymaughan6 years ago I do agree with you on eyeshadow palettes. And lets be honest, nobody can go through a makeup palette that quick! Once you have a certain colour, you dont need 6 of the same thing, no matter what colour it may be. 2018 was definitely the year of the eyeshadow palette! I hope brands dont bother releasing many of them in 2019 unless they are palettes of pairing combinations. Like how we may use 3 or 4 colours for an eye look, they could split a palette into sections, say 3 to 4 sets of 3 or 4 colours that would create different looks because I think thats what people struggle with the most, not knowing what colours to put together. It would absolutely encourage people to experiment more with different eye looks. ...
  • @
@courtneychagnon78066 years ago Completely agree with everything you said! Especially the glittery lip products. What I like in a lip gloss is when my lips have a wet look to them, I do not like when glosses have glitter so yes yesss!!
  • @
@reilife1216 years ago Yas agree with you, love this idea, please to the video of what you wanna see. For me too many releases are the main thing that bug me. 1
  • @
@vickiweber47186 years ago I agree with the over releasing. It's so hard to keep up and I certainly can't afford a lot of new releases. I also admit when I see a neutral with blue palette, I'm wanting the palette mainly for the blue. For all palettes that I want, I'm now instead going to go into my single eye shadows collection (over three large Z palettes worth) and do my best to recreate the palette, especially the colors that are drawing me to the palette. I just did that with the Lunar Beauty Goddess palette. ...
  • @
@judithanne35336 years ago I completely agree with you on every single one of these points but I do have a question for you... I am still in need of a rainbow palette what would you recommend? Could you do a video on your top rainbow pallets since color was your 2018 fetish ...
  • @
@luci9126 years ago Your hair looks so beautiful in this video! Even more than usual if that's possible! 2
  • @
@margheritalanfredi81006 years ago overwhelming releases...no one with a normal budget (unless youtube reviewer is ur job) can afford it, store it in a regular appartment. and u even kill
the pleasure of buying sth cause within 1-2wks it becomes “obsolete”...and the trend to shift seasons-while u r still taking sun on the beach enjoy ur summer holidays there r already xmas releases ...w8, it’s still +40C n xmas trees r all over the place, n before u even had time to put on the xmas tree in ur livingroom, there r spring sneak peaks... with this rate soon we’ll skip another season and make the circle so tht we’ll hear about xmas stuff for xmas n spring n spring 🤞🏼🌈🌧❄️☀️

@twintorials24626 years ago Honestly I’m super on board with the glittery lip trend, only in gloss form though. I’ve seen a ton of them lately though so I’d get how the trend is getting a little tired! 1
  • @
@taylorpalmer8946 years ago I agree! Although too faced is the one I am bothered by all their releases... however I don’t usually buy from that brand anyway 1
  • @
@irisk9346 years ago I was never into and will never be into the glittery lip. Just the thought of potentially ingesting glitter makes me just not want to put anything like that near my mouth 4
  • @

  • @
@leidbarber26255 years ago I liked that you used UD as an example I still have the naked 2 barely used because, well it wasn’t all that and a turnoff for me with any other pallets they have put out since.
  • @
@wendibryceguerrero48356 years ago A-freaking-men on the constant collection releases! I'm rarely moved to buy new collections these days because they are starting to all look the same! To me it really compromises the quality and uniqueness of the collection. ... 4
  • @
@whitneyalger63866 years ago Yesssss my goodness! No more warm neutral palettes with pops of blue!😖🙈
  • @
@caitlinquedevez35715 years ago I need a recommendation for a matte palette that has all the rainbow colors!
  • @
@imaginarycosmetics6 years ago I agree, there have been too many releases this year. I have no need for a glittery lip product, I can just use my regular lip product and tap some loose glitter on top. However, I do love metallic lip products.
  • @
@cookwithshoppingbloggersjo81766 years ago Yessssss!! No more glitter lips 🙈! Mattes are the way to go!
  • @
@HarleighSnyder6 years ago Will a new release rambles be out soon?!
  • @
@rosaluxemburg43106 years ago I totally agree on the rainbow palettes. In fact I never understood them in the first place. Nobody needs literally every color on the color spectrum. Nobody looks good with every color. :D Some people look good with blue on their face, some prefer green, red and so on. Not necessary! :D ...
  • @
@AnastaciaInCleveland6 years ago Yes, please do a video on what you'd like to see in 2019! Thank you! ~Anastacia in Cleveland
  • @
@brittfansler95415 years ago YES!!! I HATE those cheap looking decorative brushes!!!! If I wanted those I would get on wish and order them for two dollars lol. I also feel the same way about the nude colored palettes with a pop of color. I want original palettes with unique color stories that really inspire me. I’m also very disappointed with a lot of too faced products this year. The majority of their palettes aren’t even good quality. By the way, your dog is super cute lol ... 1
  • @
@RikkiSpanish6 years ago I want to see liquid lipsticks disappear with 2018. I hate them. There are no liquid lipsticks that are comfortable to wear, that truly apply properly, that don't dry one's lips out like a mummy, that dont emphasize every single little dry patch of skin, etc. No matter what brand makes one, it sucks. Sure, some suck less than others... but they all suck. Ask most makeup lovers if they could take their favorite liquid lipstick and have it made into a normal, creamy, nourishing, comfortable formula that won't transfer and lasts for hours... many(not all) would probably take the offer. ... 5
  • @
@alexiscollins56606 years ago I completely agree! However I think colourpop feels like they have to because they started with having very few products. When they started coming out with more products people complained that they took forever. So now I think they think they need to come out with stuff all the time. Does that make sense? I hope so 😂 but it drives me insane with brands I really like because I can’t keep up ... 2
  • @
@Connor520236 years ago I prefer my lipsticks to be glitter-free, but I love glitter in a gloss - as long as it's not too crazy! 1
  • @
@MakeupMolly6 years ago I agree with all of them loved hearing your thoughts
  • @
@kristinabush86166 years ago I agree with you on most of these, especially the brushes, they might be cute but I just want a brush that is going to do the job and do it well! With some of the cutsie brushes, I feel like they dont perform as well and that's not ok! ...
  • @
@ashleymills42336 years ago I agree SO MUCH with that last point🤦‍♀️
  • @
@margaretdavis2426 years ago I'm also over glitter lipsticks but on the other hand I'm glad the matte lip trend is over too. I love a good satin lip or a good gloss! I would love to see what trends you would love to see in 2019!
  • @
@pama35716 years ago Agree with over releases! I’m over the super matte lip. I much prefer a cream lip. 1
  • @
@philenabenjamin07046 years ago Heck yeah do a video on trends you WANNA see in 2019
  • @
@K8SW766 years ago Vi agree on the over releases and the glitter lips.
  • @
@camilarisso55976 years ago I agree 100% with everything you said. They all need to go away!
  • @
@bridgetnorris30256 years ago I don’t like glittery lip products! I have one that is kinda pretty I might where it for my choir concerts that’s about it. I really like the dream street palette for the pop of blue- teal however I agree with having too many colors with a pop blue- I think blue shadows are sometimes harder to pull off especially in comparison to a muted purple or olive green which might be a better option for people who can’t pull off a bright blue but still want a pop of color. ...
  • @
@vb12235 years ago cut crease for sure! every eye tutorial out there nowadays is a cut crease and ain't nobody has time for that shizz
  • @
@AnnettesMakeupCorner6 years ago Hahahah SO agree on the brushes... They are ridic, and so big and bulky and looks like theyre made for kids. Dont get me wrong, I'm all for glitter and fun colors, but I dont need a rose or a fin at the end of my brush. I would be all over a glittery handle if done in an elegant way lol ...
