Chelsea Sodaro had one of the races for the ages last year in Kona as she became the 2022 Ironman World Champion. She’s no longer the “unknown” mom from the US. Now there is a target firmly on her back as she comes into this year’s race as the defending champion. We talked about how Chelsea has embraced her platform and how she strives to make a difference in the world. Can she have another great race here? Yes. Yes. Yes. Filmed on location at the 2023 Ironman World Championship in Kona at Huggo’s On the Rocks. Brought to you by Master Spas, SFuels, Zoot Sports, HOKA, deboer wetsuits, FORM Smart Swim Goggles, Quintana Roo, Premium Plus Sports, and the Challenged Athletes Foundation

@clearvisioncam57687 months ago The super mom thing is extremely disturbing and puts a strange light to all the mums out there who do the same but without sponsors and without much help at all. There might be a personality issue involved but this is quite a bit over and should not be promoted. She even has the mother thing sprayed on her bike, my goodness. Cant even image how much pressure she is putting on the shoulders of her small child. ... 12

@IamMineOwn7 months ago Chelsea is a fantastic ambassador for the sport but also a fantastic human being. I am so impressed by her thoughtfulness and her perspective. I enjoyed her victory last year but didn’t really know much about her. I am totally cheering for Chelsea! The circuit is blessed to have so many good role models and Chelsea is a perfect example. Go Chelsea… Love to see you at the top of the podium with Taylor and Kat there with you! So great that we can actually watch the women battle it out separate from the men… and what a field this year. Thanks to Bob as always for these wonderful interviews. ... 6

@cnaustin17 months ago Great interview. I was quite turned off after the PTO interview (could very well have been an out of context issue with the footage presented). But after watching this interview I applaud Chelsea, I appreciate the humbleness and generosity to the triathlon community, and I wish her the best of luck. ... 3

@fernandog.aguirre27917 months ago I still think and hurts me that all these athletes after a fuul time dedication to the sport and overcome all injuries are making so little $$$$$ compare to the fat ass golfer....It upset me and really hurts me! I wish you guys are making the difference to better $$$$$ future! More and trully desrve it! At this level is a life changing and full commintment! No room for BS! ... 1

@daniels.94467 months ago Yes she is a world class athlete. But the way she almost hijacks this interview to promote her personal stuff ist a bit too straightforward and premeditated. 6

@clearvisioncam57687 months ago So Chelsea Sodaro was a non-factor in Kona 2023. Probably the exact result the sport needed to iron out all the stupidity around super hero mums wanna bees. So many other women are doing a great job in managing family, jobs and sports. Please stop claiming this balancing task is exclusively something you have to face, in particular when you are ending up with an extremely poor performance like this one - measured against what has been announced before. And let Canyon remove the super mom paintjob from your bike, you are not eligible to claim something like that for you when other moms are struggling to secure their children decent education and healthy food. Disgusting. ... 1
