@wolfgang7411510 months ago I was fired for saying "Merry Christmas".
Well, technically, it was for "Insubordination".
I showed up for my job and as I was walking through the front door, as I usually do I was telling everybody Merry Christmas. My boss, being the strong Christian man that he is, told me I that I wasn't allowed to be saying that when I was at work. He also said that I needed to apologize. That's where I drew the line. I will not apologize for saying Merry Christmas. Job or no job, my God is not for sale. So I told my boss that he just sold out Jesus for a paycheck. Kinda like Judas did when he sold out Jesus for a fist full of silver. I was fired for insubordination... 🤣🤣🤣
I know its June, but Merry Christmas Y'all 🎄

@leahh472710 months ago I agree with you Candace! The chosen director responded to what happened and also that he didn't agree with how some of the actors of the show responded to the backlash. Emotions ran hot and he made the point that he has a melting pot of different beliefs on staff many people including this particular camera man are private contractors and he doesn't micro manage their equipment, it's their property. The views of all the staff needed to run the show are not all in agreement in their beliefs, dallas has chosen to give the staff freedom to believe what they want and to feel accepted in their work environment and as a family as he's mentioned many times. We cannot think a show this big is going to be able to perfectly meet everyone's requirements or fictional fantasy of what a perfect christian funded show is to look like...this is reality and it doesn't change the message of the show and the fact that Jesus is impacting millions of people through it, things don't have to be perfect for God to move. All these unbelievers working on staff get to hear and be surrounded by the gospel and the true believers that are on staff! What the enemy means for evil God turns for our good, praise God!! ... 23

@apassion2praise10 months ago Accepting the pride flag into your christian business or ministry is a sign of compromise. When Dallas says they are not a christian production and they have no church authority in the lives, no accountability. People or donating millions of dollars for them to speak the truth and stand for biblical values, the cast and crew needed to be told before they sign up, that a pride flag is inappropriate on the set of a christian film. ... 373

@xxShadowBoltz10 months ago I was the security manager at an Amazon fc a few years back. We worked closely with the lp department (we were contracted) and were in constant communication with them. The director of lp was clearly a diversity hire (no security, lp, or management experience ever in her life) and it showed in her work and interactions every day. I came into work one day and there was a massive blm flag tacked to the wall right above where we were posted, which was near the entrance of the building, so everyone who walked in would see it. I went to the director and told her it made me uncomfortable because blm is a violent, hateful, extremist organization. She told me "too bad, the flag is staying." I asked if I could hang an American flag on the same wall and her response was "no. That's a hate symbol and we don't tolerate that here." I walked out of her office, called my boss and told him I'm resigning effect immediately, and walked out the door. ... 334

@erikajoygardner61310 months ago "Hi, could you do me a favor, and put your flag away?" Its as simple as that. In a work environment, you're typically not allowed to have paraphernalia on your public work space. If he had it in his pocket, or even if he's wearing it, as long as the dress code allows it, that's fine, but it wasnt in his pocket, and he wasnt wearing it. It was on his work station which should not be allowed. He knows where he works, and he's not nonplussed as to what would be said if he did what he did. ... 126

@SealyBoylast month What is interesting to me is that the rainbow is a symbol directly from God that He will never flood the entire Earth again and when someone waves a rainbow flag around, they are actually waving around a Holy symbol.
Kind of ironic that what those people use as their so called “symbol” is actually a symbol that is part of something which says they are wrong.
Keep in mind that this only applies to the rainbow and not the other flag they made that has brown and whatever else on it.

@lionoffireministries10 months ago I spoke on this. I don’t get why people don’t see the problems here.
It’s not about whether diverse employees can work on the set, but about having no workplace standards which prohibit this being “shoved in their faces.”
But here’s the main issue ⬇️
Also then allowing it to go out to the public in a promotional video.
Then NOT apologising (and saying this doesn’t align with the message of the gospel) and not taking the video down, but rather doubling down.
No discernment at all from the show!!
    Weak and compromised.

@peter2568110 months ago The series has been such a blessing as it is portraying the Heart of The Father, who is for us. This is a main message of the Bible and one that our churches have lost for decades now. So I have been so blessed by the beating heart that comes through every scene of The Chosen. Ah, yes! The flag... it was a defiant act and a middle finger in our face from an infiltrator, who overstepped the grace given to have his space to express personal stuff. But that person was pushed to defile OUR space and that was wrong. No big sweat to me, but if not corrected that infiltrator will be driven to act out even more aggressively - it's just the way of any unrepentant sin (ie. Pride). I will continue to participate, but Dallas has been altered to the subterfuge involved. ... 8

@shusband88last month Problem here is this. How many conservatives have been fired for their belief and yes, that question has been asked of them. Who do you support in the presidential election? Then for some reason fired or not hired for not being democratic.
The Mandolorian was one popular movie that would defend them for firing him. This is what employment contracts should have on them now being that we can’t ask individuals what their lifestyles are.

I participated as an extra on the Sermon on the Mount episode. The problem I have is, like Bud Light, they doubled down instead of just saying sorry, we didn't mean to offend the Christians that support us. Many from The Chosen cast and crew publicly came forward calling us “homophobes” and that they “stand with their members of the LGBTQ community”

But how do we know that God wasn't using His Word through that series to transform this person's life? It is an AMAZING SHOW and is possibly the most evangelistic cinematic tool in the history of cinema itself. But I am sorry, I'm done. The contractor's flag was one thing, but the tweets from the "Apostles" chastising anyone wanting a better explanation, snarking viewers, lambasted us, told us we are hateful and stupid, then scolded us like children about 'love'; while these MAIN actors POSTED PRIDE FLAGS ON THEIR TWEEETS. He seemed totally different from the vivid memories I have of him crying tears and being so grateful to all his (Christian) fans who were donating their hard earned money to finance the production. He called his fans the “chosen family” and would ask for money constantly and say it’s all possible because of us and our donation and support but now he seems to be singing a different tune and seems almost annoyed with fans and calling his cast and crew his “family” that he will go far and beyond to defend. @richweir518610 months ago SO what if a pride flag was there. It doesn't mean a thing. The message is the Biblical truth. Do not allow the devil to shut this down. 1

@KristinaBailey-iu6velast month I would like to hear the creators of "Chosen" to comment on it. Maybe they aren't legally able to tell their employee to remove the flag but they surely could clarify whether their camera man's views are not theirs. In doing so they could rehabilitate the project. By being silent they are keeping people in suspension and confusion on where they stand. ...

@lwalker899210 months ago Just remember, it wasn't just the camera man who placed it. When the editing was done, that camera shot was chosen to be kept in. 49

@only1gumpy94110 months ago It goes a lot deeper than just a flag. It shows the producers don’t care if you openly mock Gods morality while you’re paying them for a service. In my research I came across that the producers attend non Christian churches but want to be accepted as Christians. ... 134

@cyndidame172110 months ago It wasn't that they showed the flag. They could have edited it, but missed it. That's understandable. But the response from one of the actors and the director. I have supported this show not by just watching, it's free...but with actual money to pay it forward. This show is funded by people like me. That's the difference than any other show...we were paying for it. ... 104

@fragem194210 months ago Dallas Jenkins, the creator and director of The Chosen has addressed this issue. He does not support the "pride agenda". He's simply doing his best to make a show about the lives of Jesus and His apostles. The camera man is an independent contractor who was hired to do a job. That's it. ...

@kellycase421210 months ago I haven’t seen The Chosen either, but someone showed a lot more about this than what you showed today. I think it was Matt Walsh actually who showed that multiple people in the cast have been publicly supporting the waving of the pride flag on set and pushing “pride month.” When I heard more about it, it seemed to be a lot deeper than a rogue cameraman. It seems it’s more of a common theme among the cast and crew. That seems suspicious to me. ... 150

@gloriakunihira504710 months ago I stopped watching "the chosen" at season one. I felt something inside telling me not to watch it again. I tried to force myself to continue but that small voice inside became stronger,so I obeyed the small still voice. The display of the pride(fallen) flag on set totally confirmed the still voice that I heard years back. ... 92

@BRenee-on1bwlast month This topic is close to my heart because I actually work for the chosen as a background actress.
All I will say is that the writers and producers of this show and even the actor (Johnathan) who plays Jesus love God and care about His will for this production. Many of the actors and crew are not believers but I will say they have done such a good job at making the set feel safe for everyone . People who aren’t believers or go to these kinds of things feel they have a safe place here and because of that many are actually getting saved on set- including one of the main actors as of recently. I think that’s beautiful and should be celebrated.
You don’t hear much about the many lives that are being impacted even on set but believe me there’s many. it’s sad that we all have become distracted by this in my opinion.

@joyemeh161210 months ago Candace, what you could have done, if you were the chosen production, you could have edited out that flag from this promotion video. That's an easy way they should have avoided this scandal plane and simple. 73
